🎓🌱 Attending the Professional Capacity Building program at the CARES (Centre of Applied Research on The Environment and Sustainability) in the American University in Cairo (AUC) was an experience like no other! 🌟

🤝👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 During my two-month stay, I met incredible people and made lifelong friends who I’m still in touch with today. The program not only broadened my knowledge and skills in the field of sustainability, but it also allowed me to connect with like-minded individuals from diverse backgrounds. 🤩

🏛️ The AUC campus is a beautiful and inspiring place to study, with state-of-the-art facilities and a welcoming atmosphere. 🌞

💼 The program was professionally executed and provided me with the opportunity to learn from some of the most brilliant minds in the field. 💡
👩‍🎓 Overall, I highly recommend the Professional Capacity Building program at CARES for anyone looking to advance their knowledge and skills in sustainability and connect with a community of like-minded individuals. 🌍👍

كنت في الجامعة الأمريكية في القاهرة، حيث تم إقامة برنامج تدريبي متخصص في تعزيز القدرات المهنية، بالتعاون مع مركز البحوث التطبيقية في البيئة والاستدامة (CARES). كانت تجربة رائعة، فخلال شهرين قضيتهم هناك، تعرفت على أشخاص رائعين وأصدقاء دامت علاقتي بهم حتى اليوم، وما زلنا جميعًا على اتصال. 🔍🎓

كان البرنامج مكثفًا وشاملًا، حيث تم تقديم المعلومات بشكل متخصص وتفصيلي، وكانت الورش التدريبية والندوات الإلكترونية مفيدة للغاية وتضمنت مواضيع مثيرة ومهمة.📚💻

وبالإضافة إلى تحقيق الهدف المهني الذي كنت أسعى إليه، تمكنت من الاستمتاع بجو الجامعة الرائع، والاستمتاع بالأنشطة الاجتماعية المختلفة التي تنظمها الجامعة، والتي تضمنت رحلات ميدانية وورش عمل مختلفة، وغيرها. 🎉🎊

المشروع مقام على مساحة 260 فدان وتم الانتهاء من تشييده عام 2008 ، ويتميز المشروع بمحاولة الحفاظ على الهوية والاعتماد على المعالجات البيئية الملائمة للمناطق الصحراوية والمناخ الحار الجاف مثل توجيه الفتحات باتجاه الرياح الشمالية واستخدام الافنية الداخلية, واستخدام حاجز نباتي للحماية من الرياح المحملة بالاتربة, استخدام الحجر الرملي في تشييد 80% من الحوائط الخارجية مما يساعد على إبطاء انتقال الحرارة, استخدام المواد قليلة الاستهلاك للطاقة والمعاد تدويرها في السور المحيط بالحرم الجامعي والحوائط الخارجية للمباني, بالاضافة الى الفصل التام بين مسارات الحركة للمشاة والسيارات وجعل محور الحركة الرئيسي للمشاة فقط.

The project is built on an area of 260 acres and was completed in 2008, and the project is characterized by an attempt to preserve the identity and rely on environmental treatments appropriate for desert areas and hot dry climate such as directing openings towards the northern winds and the use of internal courtyards, and the use of a plant barrier to protect against wind laden with soil, the use of stone Sandblasting in the construction of 80% of the external walls, which helps to slow the transmission of heat, the use of energy-consuming and recycled materials in the fence surrounding the campus and the outer walls of the buildings, in addition to the complete separation of the pedestrian and car traffic paths and making the main axis of movement for pedestrians only.
