I heard there are two Intercon in Cairo, but this is the older one. Maybe that’s why the training was off, as the staff weren’t attentive, and it took a lot of effort to get their attention. To be fair, the place is rather large, so distraction could be an issue. The grilled meat was on the dry and overdone side; the flavor was just so so. It took a while to get the food, so order it when you give your drink orders as well. Other than that, the atmosphere of overlooking the Nile and the sunset was pretty good. The desserts were wonderful. So, instead of a 3 star rating, I upgraded it to 4.

We had dinner at the Lebanese restaurant in the InterContinental Cairo Semiramis and had a very good experience. The food was excellent, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was elegant and welcoming, and the service was attentive throughout the evening.
We are traveling with a wheelchair, and the staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and accommoda-ting, which made our visit even more comfortable and enjoyable. Special thanks to Wael and Youssef for their kindness and excellent service.
Overall, this restaurant is highly recommended for anyone staying at the hotel or visiting Cairo.

Overlooking the Nile on the 4th of IHG, an outdoor dining experience! Wonderful menu, so many great options, every dish we enjoyed was delicious. Our server Wael Youssef was welcoming and very helpful. Superb service throughout. The setting matches the food.

Sabaya by the Nile enjoys a truly splendid location, with breathtaking views that promise an exceptional evening.
Regrettably, the dining experience did not quite live up to its surroundings. The portions were modest and rather overpriced, and the flavours failed to impress. The fattoush arrived without its essential bread, and a glass of sparkling wine was served without any sparkle at all. There also seemed to be some confusion with drinks orders, ginger ale became ginger beer, and tonic was mistaken for the same, which suggested a lack of attention to detail.
The staff were pleasant, yet we found ourselves having to ask repeatedly for simple things to make the evening comfortable. The meat was generally dry, although the lamb cutlets were commendably tender. We shared two mixed grills between four people, alongside additional dishes, yet still left feeling insufficiently satisfied.
We visited in February, and perhaps the cooler evening air did the experience no favours, as the food cooled rather quickly outdoors. A beautiful setting, certainly but one hopes for cuisine and service to match the view.
