Jamboojo seafood – Jamboojo

Very expensive and mediocre seafood. Don’t go here if you want good food. Closes early at 9pm whereas other seafood restaurants stay open until much later showing it is not popular amongst locals. The prawns weren’t very fresh and the crabs were old.

During our recent trip to Alexandria on 26th Dec, 5 of us dined at JamBooJo Sea Food, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the journey.
The experience began by handpicking our fresh fish and jumbo prawns, setting the stage for what followed. Once seated, we were welcomed with complimentary drinks, followed by shrimp kofta and falafel, and even dessert on the house — a thoughtful and generous touch.
We ordered European sea bass (Qarous) and gilthead sea bream (Denis), both expertly grilled. Every bite was exceptional — delicately marinated so the natural flavour of the fish remained centre stage. The flesh was tender, flaky, and succulent, with a gentle char from the grill that added depth without overpowering the freshness. There was no hint of fishiness, only clean, ocean-fresh flavour that lingered beautifully on the palate.
The jumbo prawns, served butter-style and grilled, were equally memorable. Rich, juicy, and perfectly cooked, each bite delivered a sweet, buttery richness balanced by the smoky warmth of the grill — indulgent yet refined.
The ambience was beautiful and relaxed, allowing the food to shine while you fully enjoy the moment. This is seafood prepared with confidence, restraint, and respect for quality ingredients.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Alexandria and looking for exceptional seafood, warm hospitality, and a truly satisfying dining experience. A place we would return to without hesitation.

Great restaurant , absolutely loved the food very high quality , this won’t be the first and last time for sure when I come back to Alexandria I would go there again, the service was great and the waiters were so nice. Great place.
