I chose Kayan Elite Dental Clinic because of their strong social media presence, but unfortunately my experience was the complete opposite of what was advertised in terms of expertise, professionalism, and transparency.

I went in to replace the crowns on my front teeth. During the procedure, Dr. Doaa and her team fractured one of my front teeth while removing the existing crown. As a result, I had to undergo a root canal that I did not need before the procedure. To make matters worse, I was charged for the root canal even though it became necessary because of what happened during the treatment.

Before starting, I was told I would be able to try multiple mock-ups to evaluate the shape, size, and color of my new crowns so that I would be happy with the final result. However, once treatment began, I was told I would have to pay additional fees every time I wanted adjustments to the mock-ups because I was not satisfied with the recommended shape or color. This was never explained beforehand and felt very misleading.

Throughout the process, I repeatedly received different explanations about material costs and pricing that I found inconsistent. Additional charges continued to be added that had not been discussed at the beginning, and I felt I was being asked to pay extra for nearly every part of the treatment. I also felt that once the clinic realized I was visiting from the United States, the pricing became significantly higher, with unexpected costs appearing throughout the process.

Another frustrating aspect was how much pressure I felt during the cosmetic decision-making. Rather than taking the time to understand the shape and color that I wanted for my front teeth, I felt pushed toward accepting Dr. Doaa’s personal preferences. Whenever I wanted changes because I wasn’t satisfied with the appearance, I was met with additional charges instead of collaborative care focused on achieving the result I wanted.

The most disappointing part was what happened after payment. Once the balance was settled, Dr. Doaa stopped responding to my calls and there was little to no follow-up regarding the complications I experienced after the procedure.

Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this clinic. I left with an unnecessary root canal caused during treatment, significantly higher costs than I expected, and an overall experience that I found lacking in transparency, communication, and patient-centered care.
