Cairo Sales Stores

Two days ago, I visited this store to buy a Xiaomi Lite 4 electric scooter. The displayed price was 19,000 EGP. I asked the salesperson who approached me whether it was possible to get a discount. After checking with the cashier, he came back and told me that, since it was the last unit available, they could offer a discount of 1,000 EGP, bringing the final price down to 18,000 EGP.

I agreed and decided to buy it. Shortly afterward, other employees started assembling the scooter. Once the assembly was completed, I went to the cashier to pay and, to my surprise, I was told that the price was 19,000 EGP, not the agreed 18,000 EGP.

I explained that I had already agreed on the price with the salesperson who had assisted me, but I was told that such a discount was not possible. I then asked to speak with that salesperson, but he had “mysteriously” disappeared and nobody seemed to know where he was.

I find this behavior extremely unprofessional and dishonest. It is not acceptable to agree on a price with a customer and then change it at the moment of payment. I also got the impression that this kind of treatment is often reserved for foreign customers.

Needless to say, I will never set foot in this store again.

P.S. I purchased the exact same scooter from another store about 50 meters away and paid 17,800 EGP, which was even less than the price we had originally agreed on.

Over two months of delays.
Incomplete order.
Defective product.

Since February 18, I have received nothing but empty promises.
“Customer service will contact you.” No one ever does.

This is beyond unacceptable. Completely unprofessional and irresponsible.
