I made a reservation on Booking.com for three nights at Royal Crown Hotel Giza Pyramid View. Because I wanted a more comfortable stay and planned to stay for three consecutive nights, I booked a more expensive room. The total price for the three nights was USD 67 (2987 EGP).

However, when I arrived, they took me to another hotel located inside an alley, called Rafif Pyramids View Hotel, where the listed price on Booking is 425 EGP per night. When I checked in, the towels were dirty and the bedsheets had not been changed. I had to wait for one hour before they fixed everything.

The hotel manager told me that there was a concert nearby and they had no available rooms. I explained that I had already made a reservation and asked why my room was not kept for me. It was already 10 PM, and I had no choice but to stay.

They placed me in the same room for all three nights, and they never cleaned the room during my stay. I had to ask them myself for water and toilet paper.

During breakfast, the waiter asked if I wanted orange juice, but he did not tell me that it was chargeable. The orange juice cost USD 2.5, clearly more expensive than the market price.

I have met many kind and friendly people in Egypt, but the dishonest practices of this hotel made me feel very uncomfortable.

The food at the hotel was absolutely delicious and of very high quality. Everything was fresh, well prepared, and tasted perfect. There was a great variety of dishes, and you could really tell that care and effort were put into the cooking.

The staff were extremely kind, friendly, and professional, and they made us feel welcome from the very first moment. A special thank you to Wael, who was outstanding. He was always attentive, helpful, and went the extra mile to make our stay even more enjoyable.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I am very satisfied and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great food and excellent service.

What a disaster! We had paid for four nights’ accommodation with a hot tub, and after three days of arguing, we got a room with a bath, but without a hot tub! They even wanted us to pay extra! And they didn’t mark our arrival on the Booking, so they charged us an additional fee and now we have to deal with a complaint.
    Be careful.😡 Be careful.
But breakfast, coffee, and a very nice view. A great neighborhood if you want to see real Egyptian life.
The manager tried to smooth things over, but we clearly didn’t get what we paid for, and I really cared about that. I hope that at least Booking will be able to settle the complaint about the double charges.

Though the location was hard to reach, not nice to walk around, it did have a fantastic Pyramid View and atmosphere. The service was immaculate, the food was delicious, and the rooms were excellent. Very good value for money!

    Review for Rafif Hotel, Egypt
I had a really pleasant stay at Rafif Hotel! The staff were friendly and always ready to help with anything I needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location is great — close to everything but still quiet enough to relax. Breakfast was simple but tasty, and the overall atmosphere felt safe and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Egypt and looking for a good balance between comfort and value.
