Amazing location, very central and perfect to spend a few days in an accessible central buzz – few things allowed me to live a humble last night in Egypt, the shower head needs to be fixed, and you need to be prepared for a cope shower – which is perfect in the heat of the sun these days. Th AC is cooling just enough to not sweat a lot — the staff helped me make it cooler and it was a tad better in the night. Overall a very friendly staff and cozy space with beautifully city view right by the square

It was bad.
No one responded to messages on Booking. The room was very old and dirty.
The shower was broken.
The entrance to the hotel is terrible.
There are renovations going on at the facade, and everything is covered with mesh and metal posts.
Avoid this hotel!

Absolutely terrible experience. We checked in and the room was filthy, poorly maintained, and nothing like the photos online. We booked a Royal Studio with kitchenette there was no kitchenette at all, not even basic essentials.
They didn’t even provide drinking water and told us to go out on the street at 1 AM to buy it ourselves, even though we were new to the area. Only after showing our booking confirmation did they change their story. Staff kept contradicting themselves.
The other rooms they showed us were just as bad one didn’t even have proper lighting and they suggested using an “emergency light.” That’s when we realized we had been completely misled.
We refused to stay and requested a refund. Management spoke to us on the phone and promised to help, but after multiple follow-ups, there has been no response.
Very unprofessional and extremely disappointing. Think twice before booking.

Our bag went missing; the whole process was a complete disappointment.
We left our bag at the Gran Royal Hotel through Bounce Lugga storage to explore Cairo.
Even though we arrived early in the morning, they took our luggage. We told them it would stay for 12 hours and paid 200 EGP. We returned to the hotel as our bus time approached. They had left our bags in the hallway, in a central, unsecured area. However, we couldn’t find our own luggage there.
When we later contacted the staff, camera footage was reviewed, and it appeared that other guests at the hotel had taken our bags. We explained that we were going to Sharm El Sheikh and had hotel and flight reservations. To make up for their mistake, they said they could send the bag to Sharm El Sheikh or, at worst, to Turkey.
The hotel owner told us, “A Muslim promises, I swear, I’ll send you your bag.” We went to Sharm. Since we didn’t have our bag with us, we had to repurchase shorts, t-shirts, and swimsuits. We were in contact with the hotel throughout this process. They told us our bag was at the airport, that they were working to retrieve it, and that they would send it to Turkey. We agreed and returned to Turkey.
However, upon our return, we were told we would have to pick up our bag at Cairo Airport ourselves. They said they would cover the plane ticket and paid us 200 dollars. This amount only covers the cost of a one-way ticket.
In short, this place is not safe. If your bag is lost, they don’t care, they don’t take responsibility, and they are not solution-oriented.

A nice hotel at the centrally located Talaat Harb Square. Located in the sixth floor and accessible by an elevator, the rooms are nice and clean and the staff is always trying its best to make your stay as nice as possible. Don’t expect any luxury though: While the rooms are nice, they definitely aren’t a five star accommodation. The breakfast variety is also not the biggest, but again, the staff are more than happy to fulfill your wishes. As for the location, it couldn’t have been better: Stores, malls, restaurants, museums and the metro are all in a one kilometer radius or even closer.
All in all, a nice hotel if you don’t need the luxury and definitely recommended!
