I recently stayed at Rotana Palace Suites near Tahrir Square. The interiors of the hotel are good, clean, and the location is very convenient for visitors to downtown Cairo.
However, there were several disappointing aspects during my stay. The beds are of low quality and not at all comfortable, which made it difficult to rest properly. Additionally, the behaviour of one staff member, Mr. Mohd Ali & Sabri was very rude. When I requested drinking water, he simply said it was not included and did not even offer to provide it on a chargeable basis. When I asked for a single black-and-white printout of a one-page letter, I was quoted 100 EGP, which I found unreasonable. But Mr. Ahmed Abdul Hameed Mohammed Yusuf was very good, well behaved, truthful and helpful.
While the property’s interiors are decent, I strongly feel the management needs to improve both the quality of bedding and the attitude of staff to ensure a better guest experience.

The hotel is located almost on Tahrir Square on the 5th floor of a large building with an elevator. Breakfast is served on the spacious rooftop on the 6th floor. From the rooftop is a beautiful view of Thahrir Square and surrounding areas. In the evenings you can also order there local food and some non alcoholic drinks.
We booked a double room, but upon arrival the manager Ahmed offered us an apartment with two rooms and a private bathroom for the same price, which was a pleasant surprise for the start. The apartment looked like it had been recently renovated. Ahmed and the rest of the staff were very kind and helpful, they spoke good English as well, so communication was easy.
Considering the price of the apartment and location, there’s nothing to complain about.

Amazing location and staff. I enjoyed my stay in Rotana Palace Suites and would definetly come back. Manara was very helpful and has assisted me. The breakfast is decent and the room space was well for a 3 star hotel. If your coming for a weekend i would recommend the location over looking Tahrir Square.

This was a hotel I came upon by accident due to an issue with my original booking at another hotel. The staff was welcoming and they gave me a fair price on the rooms and they went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable.
The rooms are definitely a basic set up, but it’s in a great location and they made sure I was happy while I was in town for a conference. I don’t love staying in Cairo, but I would stay here again if needed.
The air conditioner worked really well too.
