I was lured in by the good reviews on Booking.com.
The only positive aspect is the location in the city.
1. The building where the hotel is located (part of a floor with several rooms) is undergoing major renovations, as is the building next door. This results in dust and dirt. When we entered the building, we couldn’t believe anything decent could exist there. By the way, be prepared – you’ll either have to walk to the 3rd floor or take the elevator to the 4th and then go down one floor.
2. The room is very small (well, no, it’s not 40 sq m) for a Family Deluxe and very uncomfortable.
3. The shower is dirty, mold is starting to grow in the corner, the renovations were done disgustingly sloppily, and some of the tiles are chipped. There’s no exhaust fan.
4. Breakfast is always the same: scrambled eggs, bread, portioned butter, jam, and processed cheese. The staff (a sullen woman) couldn’t remember that we needed two eggs each. All this with disposable plastic utensils that were so thin they broke. The staff couldn’t even say “omelet” or “scrambled eggs.” I explained, showed pictures, even asked to let me make breakfast myself, but nothing helped. The sullen woman looked at me like I was the enemy. I was very upset that I was causing her so much inconvenience.
5. Noisy. There’s a crack in the door between the rooms and the hallway, so you can hear everything going on in the hallway and other rooms. The staff isn’t particularly concerned about this, so they don’t try to be quiet.
6. It’s okay; my husband and I have lived in worse conditions; location is more important to us, but it’s definitely not worth $100 a night. This isn’t the first hotel we’ve stayed at in Cairo. But this is definitely the worst. And it was a shame for the children that they were put in such conditions.

The room itself might have just been the smallest hotel room I’ve ever seen,literally no place to open the suitcase. The bathroom is smaller than a car, and thats not an exaggeration. I feel like everything in the bathroom was leaking water since the whole place was constantly flooded, and when I asked them to put extra towels on the floor, they nodded, and didn’t do it.
They say they have breakfast, they should be ashamed, there was no normal table to even eat on, instead a small night stand sized table. The day before I left, I asked the reception to make the breakfast at 8 (the earliest they say they start),they said no problem, the next day I came to the reception first and asked for breakfast,they said okay, I then proceeded to wait 40 minutes for 3 falafels, a small portion of foul and 2 pieces of bread while 3 other families got breakfast before me.
I don’t think I’ve ever felt less welcome at a hotel, the whole staff looked at me like I was interrupting them in whatever they were doing (nothing). Zero smiles.
The only good thing is the location, but nothing else. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, it’s not worth the money.
