I had a very nice experience at Ibn Hamido Seafood Restaurant. The food was tasty, fresh, and well prepared, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the visit.

One thing I would highly recommend is taking the time to visit the seafood display area first, where the fish, shrimps, calamari, and other seafood are presented fresh on ice. You can personally choose the portions you prefer — whether small, medium, or large shrimps, fish or calamari – and decide how you would like everything to be cooked. After that, you can head inside the restaurant and order your salads, soups, and other appetizers.

I would also suggest checking the bill carefully before paying the final total, especially when ordering different seafood portions by weight.

Overall, it’s a lovely seafood experience and definitely worth a visit when you are in Cairo.

This place was packed on a Sunday night but we were seated within 10 minutes. Service is a fun experience itself. They call their spicy rice and salad dressing “whiskey”

    Grilled Sea bass was excellent.

I’ve been to many seafood restaurants in my lifetime, but this one right here is amazing! I’ve eaten here twice in just three days. The food is incredibly tasty, the service is excellent, and the prices are very affordable! I had grilled shrimp, a garlic dip, and my favorite drink, the freshly made lemon mint.

Today, I tried their homemade grilled fish, which was very well seasoned and delicious! I plan to return for another meal before I leave soon. They have just about anything you could think of when it comes to seafood. One of the coolest parts is that you get to choose your fish before they cook it!

I used to go to this restaurant because it was my favorite and my family’s as well.
But on my last visit, I have several comments:
The service was excellent and fast, and the place was clean — but of course, it was crowded and noisy.
    As for the food:
The boneless seafood soup was average this time.
The “Ibn Hamido Mix” was good.
The clams (Gandofli) were the best dish.
    The seafood tagine was okay.
I didn’t like the white sauce spaghetti at all.

Regarding the prices: (over priced )
Some items were more expensive on the bill than in the menu — please double-check your receipt.
Also, they’re charging VAT at 15.4% instead of 14%.
And of course, the service charge is added on top of all that.

So in the end, their prices are quite high compared to the quality of the food.

I would like to give an honest review about this establishment. First of all, the soup they offer is great, but the other dishes we had were a little above average. Secondly, the service is good and the staff is nice, however, the quality of the food of the other dishes we had was average and the price is very expensive. For half of what you pay here, I would assume you could have a similar quality seafood somewhere else. Finally, if you do not care about the price, you can have an okay seafood meal in this place.
