The guy selling things is completely unhelpful. If you ask him about something, he says he doesn’t know, even though he’s clearly a local. The supermarket itself is good, but I didn’t like the way the guy was working.

A highly respected figure in the world of commerce and grocery, especially in his shop. When you’re in his store, you feel you’re in safe hands, far removed from greed, deception, and theft. Most of their products inspire confidence when you order them, unlike many others who leave everything as is, like pickles. To this day, I’m surprised that the supply and health authorities allow merchants to sell this uncovered product without covering it, seemingly unconcerned about the rats, mice, and cockroaches that roam freely at night, swarming around in any exposed item. One of Faras’s advantages is its prices. I bought a product there for 40 Egyptian pounds per kilo from Al-Siwa Street; 260 kilos are available from them for 300 Egyptian pounds. But there’s a difference beyond price; quality and craftsmanship are readily available at Faras. A salute to them and those in charge of this respectable business, and may they continue to progress and excel.
