Amazing nile cruise for a great price. The sumac chicken and cherry kofta were delicious as well as the cheese samosa appetizer. The food could be a bit hotter but that is due to the fact of it coming from the restaurant. Drinks are included so be sure to ask for some once you are on board. The fruit juices are freshly made. It’s in a nice area of town with lots of other restaurants run by the Caffelucca company. The onboard entertainment was good as it was not tacky, and just enough to keep you entertained but not bored.

UPDATE (April 27):
After my initial experience, the management reached out on April 27th, apologized, and invited us back at a time of our choosing to make things right. We were able to go back the same day, and thankfully we were still in Cairo until the 30th.

They were very adamant about resolving the situation and making sure we actually had a good time. From how they communicated, it seemed like the original issue may have just been a miscommunication. Their apology and reassurance honestly made us feel comfortable enough to give it another chance, especially since we didn’t have set plans that night.

I’m really glad we did. The second experience was completely different—in the best way. The trip itself was beautiful. There was live music, the volume was perfect (not too loud, not too quiet), and the overall vibe felt relaxed but still lively. Seeing the Cairo skyline at night—especially Cairo Tower—was a highlight. There are other boats which pass by who are playing their own music, so the overall experience is pleasant as you hear a blend of music at times and people enjoying themselves. The music played includes both modern English songs and more modern English/Arabic mix, along with classic Arabic songs. The musicians did a great job performing as well.

The boat was clean and well-kept, and they were very accommodating. They even had blankets ready in case it got cold, which we ended up needing. I’d recommend bringing a light jacket or just asking for a blanket because it does get chilly at night. The staff does offer to take your photos too which is kind.

There was also a birthday celebration for another group, and the staff played a happy birthday song with live jazz—it made the whole experience feel fun and really family-friendly. The manager checked on us multiple times throughout the night and apologized again, which we appreciated.

They also speak both English and Arabic, and overall it felt like a very tourist-friendly experience. We’re not originally from Cairo, so we’re glad we ended up stopping by during our stay.

We really appreciate the lengths the staff went to so we didn’t leave with a bad experience. They handled the situation promptly and reached out on their own, which says a lot about the level of care they have for their guests and the overall experience here. I would recommend, and I’d suggest calling or contacting them ahead of time to confirm reservation details. We did the night ride and loved it, but I imagine the sunset or morning rides would be just as beautiful. Thank you.

Original Review (April 25):
Earlier that day, my parents and I stopped by intending to eat there and were told reservations were required. We spoke with the receptionist, who was kind and explained the process clearly, and we later confirmed everything via WhatsApp and phone. Everything seemed set, and we arrived early for our 11 PM reservation.

When we got there, we were told our original booking couldn’t be accommodated as planned. The experience we were expecting (a shared boat with live music) was no longer available, and the only option offered at that point was a smaller private boat at a much higher price than what we had been quoted.

This wasn’t communicated ahead of time, which made it frustrating, especially after confirming everything earlier. There wasn’t really a resolution that night, so we ended up leaving.
