You pay 5EGP and it smells like a sewer. No toilet paper but you know by now that this is standard in Egypt.
Although, about the station itself. There are very few signs and the platforms aren’t numbered 🤦 but I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw a staff member sweeping around the platforms. There was still quite a bit of trash around but I was shocked that some attempt was made to clean the dirt and dust that surrounded the trash on the group. I notice that some shops do this too. Weird country.
Scam warning. The café near the bus booking station has no menu and gives no receipt. We were charged 1,000 EGP for 2 coffees, 1 tea and a bottle of water. When we said we would call the police, they reduced the price. Prices are not transparent. Avoid at all costs.

Don’t buy food from the stalls here, you will get food poisoning. It’s cold in the winter and you should dress warmly

Its a very large and spacious bus station. Have many restaurants on the premises.
