This place is extremely overrated.

We ordered the Pomodoro pasta with grilled chicken, the shrimp pasta, and a shrimp appetizer. The appetizer was the only decent dish, but even that was presented without any effort. People say you eat with your eyes first, and this definitely didn’t look appealing.

The grilled chicken arrived completely cold and was basically seasoned with nothing but black pepper. The Pomodoro pasta tasted like plain tomato sauce with almost no flavor or seasoning.

The shrimp pasta had the same problem. The shrimp wasn’t seasoned at all, and the pasta itself tasted just like the Pomodoro—bland and lacking any real flavor.

Honestly, this has nothing to do with authentic Italian food. I can confidently say homemade pasta tastes much better than this. They don’t even use fresh homemade pasta.

The only good thing about this place is the portion size. Other than that, I genuinely don’t understand the hype. It’s seriously overrated.

The most delicious Italian food. The place is cozy and simple. The staff is friendly. The chef himself came to great my friend and I when he new that we came all the way from cairo to dine in @ Maria’s. The food was delicious and perfectly done. We had Tiramisu which was heavenly delicious. He gave a complementary one. Must try for sure.

This place is very suitable for a date in Alexandria! I really loved the vibes, the cleanliness, the colors and decoration. Staff were so welcoming and polite. Food quality is non-negotiable indeed. The owner/ chef came in person to check that everything is perfectly fine with us. Prices might be a little high but for the quality and the vibes of your date, this is priceless ❤️❤️
