Goethe-Institut German Cultural Center

I recently visited the Alexandria branch, and the experience was very disappointing. There is no proper waiting area, and the overall environment felt disorganized. The staff were unfriendly, rude, and arrogant, which added unnecessary stress on an already important exam day.
What’s more concerning is the lack of transparency and accountability. I personally know multiple students who had questionable results and were given no clear way to review their answers or file a proper complaint. One student received a zero despite performing well and was told there’s no way to access or review the exam. Another received incorrect grades on his certificate, and when he tried to escalate, the response was dismissive and unhelpful.
For an institute that claims high standards, the professionalism and customer care do not reflect that at all. Based on my experience and what I’ve seen from others, this branch seriously needs improvement in fairness, communication, and respect toward students.

What a great venue, I went to see my friend Ziad Morsi speak on the future of cultural heritage of Alexandria and was elated to see such a beautiful venue with kind staff. A great cultural gem for Alexandria.
