Ban-Plastic (Banlastic) Egypt!
The company’s name amazingly articulates its vision and purpose.
Banlastic Egypt is a social enterprise established in Alexandria, Egypt that aims to ban single-use plastic by delivering workshops and trainings, holding events, webinars, conferences, beach cleanup campaigns, and providing eco-friendly products.
It is rare to find such companies in Egypt concerned with banning single-use plastics which has given motivation to other initiatives across the country to engage in environmental activism.
The most important thing that distinguishes Banlastic is the participation of the community of all groups and ages and the integration of young volunteers with it because they are an essential part of the awareness process to ban single-use plastics in Egypt, and that raises the motivation and a sense of environmental and societal responsibility of the individuals.
I appreciate their efforts in raising the awareness of the dangers of single-use plastic in Egypt and developing the capabilities of volunteers in all aspects, I feel as if we are one family, each of us has his own specialities, tasks and uniqueness, and freedom to express his way to raise the environmental awareness that serves the vision in general.
