I would like to share a very disappointing experience with ABC Taxi Egypt, a company I had been using since its foundation and always recommended to my friends. Sadly, now I feel it is necessary to warn others.
Situation 1: Airport pickup
After a long and exhausting overnight flight, carrying a lot of luggage, we exited the airport at the agreed time — but there was no driver to meet us. We ran around the airport in panic, unable to call or text because we had no internet connection. After 20 stressful minutes, a man finally appeared holding a sign with our names. According to him, he had been “waiting for us in the car” the whole time.
This is absolutely unacceptable — drivers are supposed to wait at the exit with a sign, like everyone else. This situation caused me severe stress.
Despite this, we decided to give the company a second chance, remembering the many previous years of good service and trust.
Situation 2: Airport transfer
A few days later, my husband booked a transfer back to the airport with the same company — two cars were ordered (due to the large amount of luggage) for 5:45 AM. In the end, only one car showed up, and it was 15 minutes late. We had to scramble to fit everything into one vehicle instead of two, which caused even more stress and inconvenience.
Thus, the company managed to fail twice in a row.
And then came the petty and disgraceful behavior: first, they acknowledged their mistakes and promised a partial refund. Then, they suddenly said that no compensation would be possible. After that, they simply stopped responding.
Finally, they offered 50 EGP (about 1 euro) as “compensation” — for two failed transfers, the stress, broken promises, and complete disregard for the customer.
I had hoped to resolve this matter privately, without going public. However, given their attitude, I now feel it is my duty to warn others.
Unfortunately, this company can no longer be trusted.
If you want a stress-free airport pickup or a smooth transfer to your flight without the risk of missing it — ABC TAXI is definitely not the company to choose.
