well i kinda like this zoo. we need to pay to feeding the animals there, but its actually fun, and its worth it because they only charging us around 10-20 pound EGP for one time feeding. they feed the animals well i guess, because the animals look healthy, some of the zoo keeper just not really paying attention to cleaning the cage thats why its so smelly. this zoo is big and have so many open area with a bunch of big trees sorrounding it. my husband was playing padel at that time, he asking the teen boy who was sitting next to us to play with him and they having a very good time together. i come to this zoo in the early of summer and all the flower was blooming perfectly, i love it. over all, egyptian people in the zoo were so hospitable, kind and talking a lot but i do like it. i dont know but i guess some of them is like not an official zoo keeper, and thats why i guess they getting paid so low, and many of them is just a child. they look happy when they got the money from people who pay for feedings the animals. i feel so sad for it actually. and also for the lion, i hope this animals not staying in the cage all the times, because they all look depressed.

The conditions at Alexandria Zoo are deeply concerning. The lions are kept in small cages with no access to outdoor space, and they appear weak and lifeless. The bears, lions, and other large animals are forced to pace back and forth in their enclosures, clearly showing signs of distress and neglect. My husband and I heard there was an elephant and a giraffe here. When we asked a zookeeper where to find them, he simply told us they both recently died—undoubtedly due to the conditions of this detention center. Enclosures are inadequate for their size and natural needs, and there is no visible enrichment or proper care. This is not just disappointing for visitors—it’s cruel to the animals. I hope the authorities take urgent steps to improve the welfare of these creatures.
