I was there between 29.Aug-1.Sep. The hotel is poorly signposted, and the driver couldn’t find it. Reservations through booking.com are dubious and difficult to find; we only reached the hotel with difficulty. The building itself seems deserted – the elevators are turned off. Friendly staff. The room is nice, super clean, and with the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! And OMG, I love the pillows!!! 🥰 Bathroom with shower very clean, I really liked it, I recommend it, it’s good, it’s close, there is practically everything in the rooms, everything works, the air conditioning cools well, everything is great. The reception was very helpful and showed me everything I needed, and they also served breakfast. Wi-Fi. Close to all areas of Cairo. You are simply in the heart of Cairo. Great place with reasonable prices.

I stayed there for 2 days. I visited 4 rooms since the room we got as an upgrade (they cancel the booking. Com booking to upgrade us to a room).
The 4 rooms I’ve seen look NOTHING like the picture, beside the ceiling.
Bathroom was small and shower inconvenient, the water stop after each shower so no water for 30 minutes 2 times…
The furniture were this old orange wood from the 2000’s znd not the light grey wood we can see on the picture.
Cracks on the walls, our door wasn’t closing properly unless closed by a key.
The elevator is not finished and the door, like in a saloon, pushes you out…
We choose a room with 2 single bed and put them together ourselves…….. What was under the bed was just full of dust and stuff, with a part of the wall destroy.
Breakfast food was decent and some staff members nice still. Location of the hotel is nice, we had a view on the garden which was nice.

I really enjoyed my stay at Garden City Hotel. The location is perfect — very close to downtown, the Nile, and lots of restaurants and shops.
The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help with anything I needed.
It’s a great place if you want something affordable, safe, and in the center of Cairo.
Would definitely stay here again!

I had a very unpleasant and shocking experience at the art shop in this building. Be carefully! The seller actually stands outside the store, approaches passersby, and pretends to be friendly. He introduces himself and, under the guise of giving you his business card, presents you with a silly drawing and signs it. Then, he suddenly demands that you pay him 100 euros for the “gift,” claiming you have damaged the picture. He and his accomplices inside the store then pressure you and refuse to let you leave until you pay. This is clearly a scam and a very aggressive one at that. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place and not to accept anything from the people outside. Stay safe and keep your distance!
