The restaurant has a minimum order requirement of 750 per person, which I found to be an unreasonable policy.
We ordered half roasted chicken, boneless grilled chicken, and chicken liver. Unfortunately, the chicken liver had a strong unpleasant smell and even included chicken hearts, which was disappointing. The half roasted chicken was a bit tough, not juicy, and lacked flavor. The boneless grilled chicken was the best dish we ordered.
Another major issue was the number of flies. The restaurant didn’t seem concerned about hygiene in the dining area, and they should consider placing fly traps or insect control devices around the tables.
On a positive note, the service and hospitality were good. However, overall, the food and dining experience were not worth the money or the time.
Possibly the only eatery in Cairo that only gets better with time.
The food remains consistently delicious and atmosphere is very pleasant. You are sitting in a manicured garden with efficient service. The owner – Omar Rateb – is a true artist.
In a city where prices double on a regular basis, you still get good value at Andrea.
Coming here was a wonderful relaxing experience outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown Cairo. The food is delicious and the service is great. We tried their fateer and it was worth the trip. Just make sure you call in advance and reserve your fateer. We also liked their fava beans + pastrami with eggs but the falafel was just OK.
The views are great and we saw many families enjoying the property with their children. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Cairo.

A lovely restaurant with a stunning view overlooking 6th of October from the hilltop.
The menu is limited, but each dish offers a special and distinct taste.
The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere feels just like home.
A perfect spot for families, friends, or couples looking to enjoy a peaceful and cozy experience. Highly recommended!”
