Animal Protection Foundation Shelter – APF

I came across a stray dog in very poor condition and reached out for help, feeling helpless. They were extremely professional, compassionate, and acted so quickly to secure a spot for him at their shelter. It’s rare to find people who truly put their hearts into animal welfare like this. There was a small dog that had been abandoned in the street when he was very young. He was terrified of everything and everyone.One day, the neighbors decided they no longer wanted him around and they are going to poison him .I was afraid he wouldn’t survive on the streets again, especially with the other stray dogs out there. So, I took him home for the night until I could find him a safe place. After searching online, I found the Animal Protection Foundation (APF). I donated to support their work and paid for his transportation to ensure he arrived safely at the shelter.
A week later, I decided to visit him. They stated that visiting hours were Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM, so we went on Sunday morning. The shelter was far away, and when we arrived, they initially refused to let us in, saying there were no visits for that day. We kept calling and insisting for hours until they finally allowed us to enter.

At first, everything seemed fine — there were several dogs outside, and we spoke with the supervisor. He asked to see a photo of our dog, then told us to wait. After a long time, they took us to see him inside .

I was shocked. He looked miserable — injured, bleeding, extremely thin, and terrified. He wasn’t eating, and they had kept him locked inside a small, dark cell with no sunlight or space to move. The smell in the area was unbearable, like a filthy toilet no food no water nothing at all

I begged them to let me take him out and move him to a boarding facility, but they refused. One of them even told me, “Just because you rescued him doesn’t mean you can take him back whenever you want.”

I didn’t give up. I kept trying for days until they finally allowed me to take him. I immediately took him to a veterinary hospital — he was covered in parasites and wounds. Then I moved him to a boarding facility for proper care.

Sadly, his condition was already too severe. He only survived for four days before he passed away. 💔
