I was booked for an MR Arthrogram and ended up adding another lumber MRI while i was there. The staff was exceptional and I did not wait at all. I was being helped by Dr Rania and Dr Reham who were very professional and efficient with my treatment. Amazing service from this hospital.
Very disappointing experience at Al Salam Hospital in Maadi, particularly with the Oncology Department.
The hospital was extremely crowded and poorly organized. The reception service was not good, and there was not even adequate seating for patients and their families, as all the waiting areas were completely occupied.
The consultation fee is EGP 950, which I consider very high given the level of service provided. For such a fee, I expected significantly better organization, communication, and respect for patients’ time.
We were specifically told that the doctor would be available at 1:00 PM, so we arrived accordingly. We waited for more than half an hour, and the doctor had still not arrived. No proper explanation or clear update was provided about the delay.
What concerns me most is that this is an Oncology Department. Patients coming here may already be under considerable physical and psychological stress, and they deserve a calm, organized, and respectful environment—not additional frustration caused by overcrowding, poor communication, and unnecessary waiting.
Based on my experience, the quality of the service and organization does not justify the high consultation fee. The hospital seriously needs to improve its appointment management, reception service, waiting facilities, and communication with patients.
This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor.
From the moment I walked into the office, I felt unwelcome. Doctor Medhat Mohsen was rude and dismissive from the start, despite my being polite and respectful throughout the appointment. When I attempted to explain my history of cervical surgery – which was directly relevant to the issue I was seeking treatment for – he interrupted me and abruptly asked, “Why are you here today?” in a manner that made it seem as though I was wasting his time.
Throughout the visit, every question I asked was either dismissed or met with impatience. Rather than listening and engaging in a discussion about my concerns, I was made to feel as though I was inconveniencing him simply by being there. The entire appointment lasted less than five minutes, and I ultimately left without asking all of my questions because his attitude made it clear that he had no interest in hearing them.
I left feeling as though I had wasted both my time and money on a physician who showed little concern for my health and seemed more interested in getting me out of the office as quickly as possible. I normally never leave bad reviews (I would rather just not leave a review than a bad one), but I am so upset by the treatment I received today (or lack therefore) that I am leaving this review today to warn others – seek better care elsewhere.
To be fair, the receptionist was friendly, and the other staff members I interacted with were pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, my experience with the doctor himself was overwhelmingly negative.
If you are looking for a physician who is attentive, patient, and willing to listen to your concerns, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Based on my experience, I would choose Dar Al Fouad Hospital over this clinic without hesitation.
I had my gallbladder removal surgery by Dr Khadija, the dr was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable as well as the hospital and its services were overall good, however in the 2nd day i had a one of the doctors yelling at me cause i did not talk a walk post surgery ( i was in severe pain ) and he had incredible attitude towards me and my mother. So watch out not everyone is good.
There is also very obvious lack of communication between nurses, they told us to ring a bell for the change of IV fluids, nobody came and my mom had to call a nurse each time for the change, and they had also some attitude about that. My door was knocking every 5 mins from random cleaning people or checking something in the bathroom so I couldn’t really sleep well. I also experienced a traumatic throwing up experience in the night after the surgery happened- which was a not expected occurrence and nursing team seemed confused about..
But I’m recovering and اللحمدلله no issues after the surgery.
I recently stayed at the hospital, and I truly cannot speak highly enough about the level of care we received.
The service and nursing team were absolutely amazing — genuinely kind, attentive, and always willing to help. From the moment we arrived, I felt supported and cared for. Every member of the team showed professionalism, compassion, and a positive attitude that made a real difference during my stay.
I would especially like to recognize Omniya and Amal for their impeccable service, consistency, and outstanding attitude. Their dedication was evident in everything they did. They clearly love their work, and most importantly, they truly love helping people. Their warmth and care brought comfort and reassurance during a time when it was needed most.
Thank you to the entire team for turning what could have been a stressful experience into one filled with kindness and professionalism.
