Many Egyptian people recommended that I try Azza Ice Cream while in Alexandria, and I got to try it. I had two flavor ice cream (vanilla and caramel) on a cone. It was lighter than the ice cream I am used to, but I liked the taste very much. The cone was crispy so the contrast of the smoothness of the ice cream and the cone was perfect! The staff members at the shop made sure solicitors didn’t get close to us so we would enjoy the ice cream and the atmosphere. The shop is right across from the sea so we felt very relaxed despite the traffic on the road in front of us. I would definitely go back to Azza when I get a chance to return to Alexandria, and perhaps try other sweets.

We tried two flavors of gelato here—mango and lemon—and both were fantastic. My wife says the lemon is even better than what she had in Italy; I think it comes very close! I’d definitely come back. Excellent gelato and truly a hidden gem in Alexandria.

One of the best ice cream and Om Ali you can taste. Very traditional seating in the middle of the street, but love it!
