Relaxing meal on a Friday afternoon. Following lots of walking this dining experience was the perfect place to take some time for reflection. Attentive and prompt service, lovely hospitality. The food was delicious, savored every morsel. I took my time and lingered here, very comfortable.

If you’re visiting Tahrir Square, I highly recommend Café Riche. This historic café was once allegedly a meeting spot where Nasser and fellow Free Officers secretly planned the overthrow of King Farouk I. Throughout the 20th century, it became a gathering place for foreign correspondents, intellectuals, writers, and left-wing revolutionaries. During the Arab Spring, it once again served as a refuge for journalists and protesters covering the demonstrations nearby.
And unlike many traditional cafés in Cairo, Café Riche also serves alcohol — making it one of the few historic downtown spots where you can still sit for a beer or a drink while soaking in the atmosphere of old revolutionary Cairo.

Only Cash. Food is good, advice is to get the Lentils Fatta (see pic) or any other Fatta, Stella is cold and service is friendly. Bar is very local and somewhat traditional. Definitely would come for more beers. You can smoke in the outdoor air conditioned area.

One of the standout places to visit in Downtown Cairo. The atmosphere perfectly captures the vibrant spirit of the area while still offering a comfortable and welcoming setting. The food is well-prepared, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented, with a menu that offers a good variety to suit different tastes. The drinks are equally enjoyable, whether you’re in the mood for something classic or more creative.
What truly makes the experience memorable, however, is the service. The staff are attentive, friendly, and professional, ensuring that everything runs smoothly from the moment you arrive until you leave. Overall, it’s a great spot for a relaxed evening, a casual gathering with friends, or even a business meet-up in the heart of Cairo.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy quality food, good drinks, and excellent service in Downtown.

Staff elegantly dressed up with traditional garments. Enjoyed to see famous people on the wall. Love atmosphere. You have to prepare egyptian pond as cash, they don’t accept cards or other currencies.
