Cairo Medical Center (CMC)

I made an appointment with Dr. Waleed El Balat, dermatologist.
The receptionist told us to arrive between 6:00pm. Unfortunately, due to a lack of professionalism on her side (not the doctor’s), we were kept waiting for more than 1 hour and 15 minutes .

During this time, several people were going in and out of the doctor’s office, while we continued to wait without any explanation. When I asked how much longer my husband and I would have to wait, the receptionist did not answer verbally — she only made a hand gesture telling us to keep waiting.

Sadly, we did not manage to see the doctor, because we were informed that this would require at least another hour of waiting, which was not possible given the situation.

This was not a free consultation; it was an emergency situation, but we chose this clinic because we wanted a good doctor.

I am from Europe, and of course my style and clothing are different. Unfortunately, this seemed to influence how we were treated.
If you are not Egyptian, I do not recommend coming here. You will feel unimportant and ignored. You could be in severe pain or seriously ill, and no one will explain anything to you or communicate properly.

The problem was not the doctor, but the receptionist’s attitude and the complete lack of respect for patients’ time and condition.
