Great place with a great view to the sea, good food and friendly servers. I’ll always remember it as the place I witnessed the Legendary Egypt World Cup win over Australia. The place is right in the heart of downtown Alexandria so we were able to head straight to the celebrations.

Calithea Bar is easily one of the best bars I’ve visited in Alexandria. The atmosphere is fantastic, with beautiful artwork and décor that genuinely capture the spirit and character of the city. The service is professional and attentive, and the owner was incredibly friendly, funny, and welcoming. We had a great conversation with him, which made the experience even more memorable.
The bar offers a huge variety of drinks, and the presence of security staff helps create a comfortable and safe environment for everyone. Another pleasant surprise was the pricing. Compared to similar venues in Cairo, it’s quite reasonable and offers excellent value for the experience.
My only criticism is the music. It didn’t match the atmosphere of the place and felt out of sync with the otherwise sophisticated ambiance. It would be great if there were more flexibility in the music selection.
Overall, Calithea Bar delivers a unique and memorable experience with great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent drinks. It’s definitely a must-visit spot in Alexandria.
