City Mart – Go Bus Main Station

The seller, without any greeting or basic human decency, blatantly sold an item that cost 25 for 40 Egyptian pounds, looking me straight in the eyes while denying the obvious. He didn’t issue a receipt — I had to take it myself. Moreover, he immediately served people of his own nationality while completely ignoring me as a foreigner, pretending not to notice me.

He left to handle his own business, then returned while I was still standing at the checkout, and only then did he sell the item — already at an inflated price. None of the products have price tags, and when they are scanned, the price isn’t displayed anywhere. I do not recommend visiting this place, and wherever you shop, always ask for the price in advance — that’s simply how the system works in Cairo. Not giving full change or inflating the price is considered normal here. Because of people like this, I completely lose the desire to visit this country.
