The Faculty of Law at Alexandria University was founded in 1938 as a branch of Fuad I University and later became independent with the establishment of Farouk I University in 1942. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious law faculties in the Arab world. Over the decades, the faculty has developed to offer English and French sections in collaboration with international universities such as the University of Perpignan in France, in addition to specialized postgraduate studies. The faculty derives its prestige from Alexandria University’s high global ranking in legal and social sciences and plays a leading role in preparing distinguished judicial and legal professionals.
