I took my family to Gabi – Sidi Gaber branch for dinner; and let me just say, exceptional!

The menu offers a generous and authentic variety if Turkish cuisine, there is something for everyone and you will be positively surprised by the big portions.

Taste? Better than the same items if they were served to you in Turkey itself! If you think I am exaggerating, trust that I am speaking from experience, the İskender kebap is seriously better than the one my sister had in Turkey. I had the mix grill, and the distinct smokey flavor was heavenly from the first to the last bite. Do not sleep on the mezze platter, the variety of flavors, textures and colors…superb.

Don’t forget dessert! We had the baklava icecream, it was served beautifully and cut by our table, with a mastic ice cream to die for.

Our greeter’s name was Demyana; a cheerful and bubbly personality who took us to our table with a smile and a warm attitude.

Our server’s name was Ahmed Ezz; he was very cordial, professional and prompt.

Overall, excellent experience from food to service to atmosphere. Highly recommended!

I had a very disappointing experience at Gabi Restaurant in Point 6, Alexandria.

We waited around 30–40 minutes before anyone even came to take our order, then almost another 50 minutes for the food to arrive. I specifically requested that all items be served together, but unfortunately that did not happen.

The food arrived incomplete, and we still had to wait another 15 minutes for the tea and bread. By the time everything finally came, the food was already cold. To make things worse, the tea was served in paper cups, which was very unprofessional for a restaurant like this.

On top of that, several items from the order were never served to our table at all. Surprisingly, when I asked for the check, they had included the missing items in the bill, and I had to ask them to remove them myself.

There was absolutely no organization, and honestly it was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had. This wasn’t my first visit, but it will definitely be my last.

Super unprofessional management and service. I highly do not recommend this place.
