The place looked nice at first impression, but unfortunately the food quality was disappointing. The Béchamel pasta was extremely salty, and the seasoning of the minced meat in the pasta was not good at all. The roqaq was also very poor and tasted bad.
To make things worse, many items on the menu were unavailable, including kebab, Shish Tawook, and Baba Ghanoush, which was frustrating.
The menu itself also looked inappropriate for the place and did not match the overall appearance of the restaurant. It would have been better to have an online menu rather than presenting it in that condition.
In addition, the ladies’ restroom was not clean, and paper towels were left on the floor, which gave a poor impression about the overall cleanliness of the place.
This was my first and last visit, and I would not recommend it to others. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations.

Really authentic local food experience. We came as tourists and even though not much English was spoken, everyone was super kind and welcoming. One staff member spoke a bit more English and helped us with everything, which made it much easier for us. The people there had such a warm attitude and were always smiling. The food was honestly delicious, full of flavor, and felt very local. Definitely a place I would recommend if you want to try real Egyptian food away from the usual tourist spots.

Now that’s what you call a local food experience. We have been there with our Egyptian friend, so we were basically the only tourists in the place. Place is packed and the food is really good for Egyptian taste of food. If you want to experience real local food and atmosphere, this is the place. Don’t be scared of surroundings though!

Solid choice, excellent prices, definitely off the usual tourist paths. Visited September 2025. This is a grilled meat place with a large selection of typical dishes of the region including stuffed pigeon. The kafta and kebabs were very good with good seasonings. The salads were fresh with large portions served with fresh bread. The pigeon was a treat and prepared according to tradition; owing to their wild origins, the birds were thin on meat but it was flavorful and stuffed with a good rice mix. The sauces were especially outstanding. Not much english is spoken but a positive attitude and smile will get you what you want.
