BAD FOOD.
My wife and I went there for dinner last night because we enjoy the place, atmosphere and food. We tried some of the new dishes on the menu: Asian Salad and Salmon Sashimi salad. Asian noodles were very little and not cooked enough but manager said it was like that… Sorry, we lived in Asia and it is not like that. Salad was not properly cleaned and was soaked in sauce. Very unappealing. Even classics like Beef Tataki were not fresh and served with unclean salad. We mentioned that but no one cared. Then, the red wine was served hot. I noticed the glasses got smaller too. Only the bill surpassed our expectations… 😉

As a foreigner in Egypt I highly recommend everyone visiting or staying in Egypt to come to Gigis. Great food, friendly staff, and drinks are on point.

4 of the 5 items we wanted to order were not available yesterday so the team offered substitutes which where just awful and we were fully charged for them. Also why are you pouring my wine so quickly? It’s annoying! No foreign alcohol though the menu says so… I could go on. I don’t think the owners will care about my comments though…

Nice place. Tasty food. Friendly service. But music is far too loud. We barely could enjoy conversation with our friends. We sat inside as it was a cold afternoon. It was a bit uncomfortable because of the draft as doors must be kept open for servicing the outside area. Unfortunately they don’t offer soups.

GiGi Bar in 6th of October is genuinely impressive. The service is amazing, and the food is absolutely beautiful. Our waiter, Nasser, was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.
I highly recommend visiting—especially in the morning during winter. The sunlight there is warm and stunning, making the atmosphere perfect.
