Wow! The best government services I had at Health Affairs Directorate. Upon entering the building there were 2 elderly males WHO COULD NOT SPEAK A WORD of English but helped by showing with their fingers which floor I need to be. On the sixth floor is a kiosk and 2 beautiful young ladies greeted me. Da’iyah heard my language barrier and jumped up to take me to where I needed to be. I was redirected so I went back to Da’iyah and she accompanied me to the correct office and spoke to the doctors in the room. .Dr Marwah greeted me with a vibrant smile and Dr Ghatam smiled and spoke politely, he was seated next to her. The best part they both spoke fluent English and welcomed me warmly
and apologized for any confusion and inconvenience. Dr Marwah escorted me to the next office and liaised on my behalf to another sweet Doctor. she then guided me to the exit. MY SINCEREST GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION FOR THE EFFICIENCY AND KIND SERVICE and BY GOING THE EXTRA MILE FOR A FOREIGNER. ALL OF THE STAFF THAT ASSISTED ME…YOU SHOWED GREAT COMMUNICATION SKILLS BE IT BY HAND SIGNS OR IN ARABIC OR ENGLISH AND EVERYTHING WAS DONE WITH A SMILE. HOW UPLIFTING WOULD IT BE TO ALL INDIVIDUALS SEEKING ASSISTANCE AND GUIDANCE from any government officials TO BE GREETED AND TREATED LIKE THIS.

Went for the Yellow Fever Vaccination. It was very smooth and easy. One stop office unlike other government offices. A single office room where you pay and get the receipt followed by the vaccine shot and receive your vaccination certificate instantly. It took not more than a few minutes. The place offers other various vaccinations as well. A photo ID is required. For any foreign nationals showing your passport is a must.

I went to get my yellow fever vaccine. It was actually very easy. Go through the ground floor, take the left hand door at the back and go down the stairs (outside) and then follow round the building to the right. It seems like a chaotic mess but there is a small entrance for the clinic when you can get your vaccines! The staff were absolutely delightful and it was very quick. Picture below is the entrance to the clinic area.
