We used private transfers from Hurghada Airport to El Gouna on May 19, 2026, and from El Gouna back to Hurghada on June 1, 2026. Both times everything went smoothly, and we had very friendly drivers. We took a day trip from Hurghada to Cairo and were thoroughly satisfied.
We departed at 3:00 AM and arrived at the Giza Plateau around 8:30 AM – perfect timing, as we were even able to enter the Great Pyramid of Giza without having to wait in line. Afterwards, we spent about two hours at the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is absolutely worth seeing if you’re interested in history. Then we ate at Koshary Abou Tarek’s restaurant in downtown Cairo – very authentic, super friendly, and with a great sense of humor. The driver relaxed and joined us for dinner without being intrusive, making it a truly local experience. We made a quick stop at Islamic Cairo before heading back around 5:00 PM.
A particularly nice touch: the driver had chilled drinks with him – extremely welcome and thoughtful after the heat at the pyramids.
Overall, it was a very long and intense day with almost 1,000 km of driving, but it was organized smoothly and reliably. No stress, no renegotiation – everything went exactly as agreed. The price was absolutely fair for the scope of the trip and the service. 160€ for a day with a limousine and the very attentive Mohamed.
