A true home away from home! Hospitality as it should be

I truly enjoyed my stay and felt at home from the very beginning. The hotel is a lovely, cozy place with a warm atmosphere, excellent cleanliness and, above all, heartfelt hospitality. I’ve visited Egypt many times, but this was the first time I felt so comfortable and well looked after in this price category.

What really makes this place special, though, is the team. A huge thank you to Khaled, our host, for making me feel so welcome and for personally taking care of his guests. Nourhan at reception was exceptional, warm, friendly and highly attentive, often anticipating my wishes and taking care of things before I even had to ask. Asmaa from Food & Beverage prepared breakfast with real care and tailored it to individual preferences, while Haytham crafted coffee specialties at a genuinely professional barista level, which became one of the highlights of my stay. Sabah from Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping everything spotless.

I also really appreciated the pleasant mix of guests and the relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel. Everything felt personal, easygoing and genuinely welcoming rather than impersonal or hectic.

Another detail that stayed with me was the hotel’s kind and caring attitude toward the local cats. They are allowed to stay in the outdoor areas, and the staff makes sure they have water, especially important in the extreme heat, as well as leftover food. It may seem like a small gesture, but to me it says a lot about the warmth and humanity of the place. 🐾

An absolute gem in Cairo

What a fantastic place. This beautiful villa converted into a boutique hotel gives you the cosy feeling of being at home, but in a luxurious setting. It’s peaceful, private and incredibly comfortable. In fact, the best day of my entire holiday was the day we spent relaxing at the hotel without going anywhere.

The swimming pool area is excellent, the lobby is stylish and relaxing, our suite was luxurious and very comfortable, and the terrace was a lovely place to unwind. Breakfast was very good, with complimentary coffee and drinks available throughout the day. A really nice touch was the TV, which included free access to popular streaming platforms such as Netflix and Shahid.

The location is quiet yet offers easy access to both Cairo’s major attractions and the large shopping malls. Every member of staff we met was genuinely friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Nourhan, Haytham and Asmaa, as well as the security team and housekeeping staff, for making our stay so enjoyable.

The only negative I could mention is that the Wi-Fi occasionally became a little unreliable, but it was a minor issue in what was otherwise an outstanding stay.

I’ve already recommended this hotel to one of my closest friends, who is visiting Cairo next week and has already booked after hearing about our experience. That probably says everything. Whenever I’m back in Cairo, this will be my first choice without hesitation.

On our last few days in Egypt, I booked a stay for my family at this hotel, I didn’t really know what to expect as I had never stayed in a small hotel like this. Nonetheless, I booked knowing during a holiday weekend my options were limited. When I say it was the best set of circumstances that led to one of the best stays I have ever had, I am not exaggerating! A special shout out to Asmaa, she is an absolute legend & AMAZING at her job ❤️ She went above and beyond her role and made our stay incredible!! I would also like to mention that the cleaning staff, night shift, manager and doorman were fantastic!! I will never overlook a small hotel like this as an option & I will certainly be back at Malek Hotel myself!
