We had a wonderful four-night stay at this hotel and couldn’t recommend it more.
The rooms were spotless and the service was outstanding from start to finish. The team went above and beyond to help with anything we needed, sorting out every little issue that came up during our trip without any fuss. They also arranged our airport transfers both ways, which made everything so much easier.
Breakfast deserves a special mention. It’s served on the rooftop with a stunning view of the pyramids, which makes every morning feel special. The food was genuinely delicious, and on one morning when we slept in and missed the regular service, the staff still made sure we got fed. Small thing, but it meant a lot.
Honestly, the whole team made us feel looked after the entire time. Huge thanks to everyone, we left very happy and would absolutely come back.

Very helpful staff, they try the best. The room was basic but clean and beds were comfortable. Very good WiFi internet. Breakfast was decent and when we asked for some different items these were promptly supplied – e.g. boiled eggs instead of scrambled, Turkish coffee instead of instant, etc. Very good location with a convenience store, a kiosk, and restaurants at walking distances. The area is not very appealing but it is safe. Expect some street noise but also good views of the pyramids from the rooms and the terrace. I believe that this was the best room we could find at this price in the Giza area.
Best of all, we hired a car with chauffeur and spent a day visiting Sakkara, Dahshur and Memphis. Highly recommended! Cousin Mohamed, the driver, was excellent in every respect. He was very safe, kind and extremely helpful. For example, he found my daughter’s lost sunglasses and resolved a problem with the tickets. This trip was once in a life experience and worth the money!

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Cairo. The view of the pyramids is absolutely stunning. The rooms are literally brand new and very clean. The water pressure and AC were great.
The room also came with complimentary tea, coffee, bottles of water, shampoo, and soap and had a good size refrigerator and kettle for making drinks — everything to make the stay comfortable.
Muhammed and his staff were also all so, so nice and welcoming. Everyone was very kind and went out of the way to make us comfortable.
You are also close to main roads, so avoid all the traffic and chaos of driving through packed city streets. There are many walkable restaurants nearby and we also walked to the Grand museum. It was a nice half hour walk for us. But do note that you must be used to crossing busy streets with no cross walks (we are and thought it was 100% fine. But some may be more comfortable with a car).

We had a great stay at the hotel. All staff are extremely friendly and accommodating – always on hand for questions, asking how we were. Mohamed speaks great English. They also sorted us a taxi one day when Uber drivers were asking for extra cash on the app. The location is also great for a day at the Pyramids and the view from the room and the balcony was amazing. Beds were very comfortable as well.

We loved our stay at Maria Pyramids House. It was a very comfortable and friendly family run hotel. The staff were so obliging and helped out wherever possible. Mohamed was extremely happy to organise any tours and accommodate our every wish. The tours he organised were terrific. Our room was clean, comfortable and had an absolutely awesome view. Breakfast each morning was served on the rooftop looking directly at the Pyramids. It consisted of a delicious selection of house made Egyptian treats including ‘foul’, a typical Egyptian breakfast dish and fresh bread amongst many other things. The location was so convenient. Restaurants were close, a pool was in a neighbouring hotel and if you wanted to splurge you could go for a drink at The Marriott Mena across the road. The GEM and Giza Plateau were only a few minutes drive away. We felt very safe and secure and had a wonderful stay. We would very happily stay again. Thanks Mohamed.
