Beware, the owner is a liar. My parents stayed there for a night, and the owner, ISLAM, persuaded them to go on a tour and cancel their already booked hotels for the next few days. They paid in full—$600 US dollars—but when they got to the cruise at midnight, it wouldn’t leave until the next afternoon. They were just given a chair to sleep on overnight.
At this point, the owner was still contactable and trying to make things up. The cruise arrived at its destination early, and although they were supposed to stay on the ship for 3 days, they weren’t even on there for 48 hours! My parents had nowhere to go after the ship arrived. The owner sent a taxi driver to take them to various places, but when they got to the King’s Valley, they discovered that the tickets provided by the owner were different from others, so they weren’t allowed to enter The Tomb of Tutankhamun.
The driver then told them the visiting time was limited to just one hour. As a result, they only had time to see three spots and had to rush through everything. After that, the owner stopped picking up calls, leaving my parents stranded in the middle of nowhere.
They had paid for a hot air balloon ride, which was later canceled. The owner promised to make up for it by letting them take a felucca ride, but now he hangs up whenever he sees their number.
This man is very bad and dishonest—I hope he gets what he deserves. Do not pay anything until you are actually on his so-called cruise. We even asked him to write down an agreement for what was included, but what use was that?
Sadly, it was my parents’ first—and maybe last—visit to Egypt. I hope this man sits in his comfortable home counting the dirty money in his hands. What a dreadful person! My parents are nearly 70, and they were left to sleep on a chair for the night.
And you know what? Until the very last moment, he promised me that he was an honest man who would take care of my parents. I just can’t understand how he can live with himself!
