First time trying Mikel and definitely not the last. Went at night on a weekend and the atmosphere was super cozy and relaxed, not crowded at all. Seating was really comfortable too, whether you’re into sofas or regular chairs, the whole place just feels easy to settle into.
The staff were incredibly friendly and knew the menu really well, even with off-menu requests. Since it’s a Greek brand, I asked for a freddo espresso and the barista knew exactly what I meant and made it really well, which was a nice touch.
Drinks were great quality for the price, and overall the whole experience was way better than I expected for a first visit. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.

The food is absolutely unreal the quality is unmated. As a person who has tried a lot of cafes in Alexandria Mikel coffee probably up there amongst the best. They have a lot to offer with different price ranges from 60 to 200 egp. Also the ambiance in terms of a place to study in is unreal. Spoke with the manager Noor and he is an absolute gentleman and the staff are genuinely super friendly. If there is one thing to improve on it would be the internet since your only allowed 2 hrs and have to order something to regain access to it — having said that the internet itself is amongst the fastest out there.

It’s truly one of the nicest and most pleasant places in Egypt. Its atmosphere is very Western, somewhat similar to Costa, as it’s a Greek brand with branches in many countries. This is their first branch in Egypt, and we hope to see more branches soon. I had a lovely working time and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Plus, their coffee is amazing!
