Mountain View Management’s Disrespect for Customers
I received my apartment in Mountain View Hyde Park in early 2025 and moved in in May 2026.
The moment I moved in, the Mountain View management acted as if they were surprised that someone was living in the building.
1- There’s still no telephone booth installed in the building, so I still don’t have internet at home. Of course, anyone who’s been without internet for five months knows what it’s like, and with the start of the school year, the kids are suffering.
2- The elevators haven’t been installed, and of course, the elevator doors aren’t installed either. The openings are very dangerous, especially since I’m on the second floor and have young children. To appease me, they just stuck some wooden boards on.
3- The apartment across from mine is unfinished and unoccupied, and the door is left open. I’ve repeatedly asked them to lock it because it’s unsafe and causes a disturbance due to the door moving, not to mention the dust and sand that constantly get into my apartment. 4- This whole disastrous situation has caused damage to the building, and geckos and insects have appeared.
5- The stair railing isn’t properly secured at the ends, and of course, it’s very sharp. My children have repeatedly gotten hurt on it while going up and down.
6- The building’s staircase is broken.
I contacted what’s called the “community” in the compound (Youssef, Sarah, Nour, and others), and the response is always: “You’re right, we’ll follow up and get back to you.” Of course, no one ever does.
I contacted the community management, and again, the response was always, “We’ll follow up and get back to you,” but still, nothing.
After numerous complaints from May until now, September, nothing has been resolved. Finally, I heard the response, “We’re waiting for supplies.”
Supplies for what?! Staircase repairs? Elevator repairs? Stair handrail repairs? A lock for my apartment door? A telephone booth? Building cleaning? Wires falling out of the electrical boxes?
The situation is still dire, and no one has given me a date for fixing even one of the things mentioned above.
Unfortunately, the management has absolutely no respect for its customers.
