Oriental Hostel

If you read other reviews it seems like this is a good option to stay, I hardly believe the reviews after my personal experience.
This was definitely the worst experience I had in my life 😶 and I think some of these reviews might be fake.

The place was overbooked when we arrived although we booked two rooms through Booking. Com months before thinking we could have a good stay at a reasonable price.
The host did not speak much english.We could barely understand each other.
They tried to ripp us off by believeing we do not know conversions 🙄.
Our booking was supposed to be for 3 nights for $200 someting dollars, however after arriving to the conclusion that they do not have rooms left they offered us some rooms at the incredible price of $500 dollars😱 this price was proposed by the manager for some reason they could not see our booking through booking. Com and offered their prices (we didn’t have to pay that much at Safir hotel which is a 5 star hotel not hostel) that were unclean, did not have the basic not even water for flushing the toilets, nedless to say hot water or anything else ….. . Since it was our first time traveling to Cairo, and being very late at 4 am in the morning we chose to stay for the few hours left until we could find something better… Of course after we managed to speak to the manager for the two rooms for $50 way reasonable than they’re previous “top” offer…

Would not recommend this place to anyone!!!

The staff tried to manage the situation with us but the manager was all about the money it seemed.

Very frendly and good staff as always.
Everytime we go to Cairo we only stay in Oriental Hostel because the clean rooms, the place and the nice employers and owner.

The staff was very friendly. Very nice and clean rooms , service is excellent. The hostel location is central with in Cairo and any historical places. I would definitely recommend it😊
