“A Place Full of Potential, Held Back by Poor Management”
I’ve visited this place more times than I can count. It’s close to my home and has been one of my go-to spots for studying, meeting friends, or just spending a few hours outside.

This place has the potential to be one of the best cafés/restaurants in Alexandria. The location is excellent, the indoor and outdoor seating areas are spacious and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere could be amazing. Unfortunately, it feels like that potential is being wasted.

The food is decent but inconsistent. I’ve tried the pizza, burgers, desserts, and drinks over many visits. Sometimes items aren’t available, sometimes equipment isn’t working, and sometimes the quality is good while other times it’s disappointing. I’ve had hot drinks arrive barely warm, and menu options that suddenly weren’t available.

The biggest issue, however, is the staff. Outside of peak evening hours, it’s often difficult to find anyone at the counter, and you sometimes have to look for a waiter just to place an order or ask a question. Service is usually slow, staff often seem distracted, and on multiple occasions I’ve witnessed employees arguing loudly with each other in front of customers. I’ve even heard shouting and inappropriate language while the place was full of guests.

Cleanliness is another area that needs improvement. Tables and floors are not always clean, and overall attention to detail seems lacking.

What makes all of this disappointing is that the foundation is already there. The location, the space, and the atmosphere are better than many cafés in Alexandria. With better management, more professional staff, improved cleanliness, and more consistency in food and drinks, this could easily become one of the city’s top spots.

I genuinely want this place to succeed, which is why I’m leaving an honest review. The potential is there—it’s just not being fully realized.

An absolute charm and full of character. Nice menu, setting and staff. A place to go to for socializing while granbing a bite or getting a meal.

I was really excited to try it but it wasn’t as good as everyone mentioned. I wanted to order Napoli pizza but the oven wasn’t working. So I ordered smoky pasta and spinach pasta. Spinach pasta came without grilled chicken even though the menu said with grilled chicken. I told the staff, they took my plate added a piece of chicken and the plate came back cold. I don’t know what was wrong that day but they really need to pay more attention to food and service.I liked the place and decorations more than service or food but I’m not sure if I’ll try it again after what happened.
