A terrible experience. My cat was admitted with early signs of calicivirus. The vet couldn’t diagnose him and prescribed a subcutaneous IV. Unfortunately, I don’t know how I continued giving it to him, and it wasn’t the right IV for cats. It resulted in fluid in the lungs and an enlarged heart. The vet told me not to feed him anything, that IV fluids were enough. Sadly, he suffered for two weeks and died.
