Be aware, that there are a lot of Remax branches in Egypt, under different administration. This one too is a no no. You need to ask for a receipt, you need to be firm about it. Make sure the property is registered and that the name appearing on your contract is that of the actual owner. Keep in mind that, from the demanded after negotiations price, you can always deduct 20-30%, since this is the amount the broker will get from your landlord as an extra fee through your entire contract. Last, but not least, the owner needs to register the contract. Otherwise it is tax evasion. If they tell you otherwise, you walk. Never give them cash. Always pay through a bank. If they deny, just walk. Not to mention they are bullies. Bad lot. No ethics.
