Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.
My husband called the clinic before our visit and explained that he had a tooth extracted a month ago, needed a dental implant, and would be traveling in three days. He specifically asked whether the implant could be done before his trip, and he was told that it would not be a problem and that he should come in.
Based on that information, we visited the clinic, paid the consultation fee, and had X-rays taken. Only then did the dentist tell us that the implant could not be done and that he would need to wait another two months.
We completely respect the dentist’s medical judgment if waiting is necessary. However, when we asked why we had been told to come in if the procedure was not possible, the dentist simply replied, “That’s not my responsibility. It’s the call center’s responsibility.”
What made the experience even worse was the dentist’s dismissive and unprofessional attitude. There was no attempt to explain the situation or apologize for the poor communication, which resulted in wasted time and unnecessary consultation and X-ray fees, despite us clearly explaining the urgency of the situation before the appointment.
I hope the clinic improves both its communication and the way patients are treated.
I would like to thank the receptionist for her professionalism and understanding. She acknowledged the situation and refunded the consultation fee, which we truly appreciated.
Unfortunately, the dentist’s attitude was arrogant and unprofessional. When we asked why we had been told to come if the implant could not be done, his response was simply, “That’s not my responsibility. It’s the call center’s responsibility.” He showed no empathy or willingness to address the situation, which is not the level of professionalism patients expect from a healthcare provider.
