Clean room, comfortable bed and pillow, spacious bathroom, and at our first room we didn’t had a view on the pyramids, asked the front desk and they upgraded us to a room with views without hesitation. Staff is welcoming and always ready to help. Pool is heated. Buffet has more than you could expect, food was delicious

    **Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Service**

We had a fantastic stay at the Steigenberger Pyramids Hotel in Giza. The hotel itself is beautiful, offering a comfortable and elegant atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed from the moment you arrive. The location is excellent, and the overall ambiance truly enhances the experience of visiting this historic area.

What stood out the most was the staff. Everyone was extremely professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly, always making sure that we felt welcome and well taken care of. In particular, we had the pleasure of meeting Karima, our housekeeping staff member. She took exceptional care of our suite with great attention to detail and clear pride in her work. Karima was always approachable, kind, and warm, and her dedication made our stay even more enjoyable.

We highly recommend the Steigenberger Pyramids Hotel to anyone visiting Giza and would gladly return. It was an unforgettable experience thanks to the beautiful hotel and its outstanding team.

Good location, very close to the (great) Grand Egyptian Museum. For the rest nothing around to do but a great place to visit the museum and the pyramids from there.
Food is below the quality what to expect from a 5-star hotel, but okay-ish.

The staff is kind, but Caroline is outstanding and doing an excellent job. Kind and taking care of you. At some point she wants to work abroad, if anyone reads this, hire her in your hotel. She is fluent in English and well educated. A real added value for the guests.

    Steigenberger, thanks for having us.

Fabulous hotel with attentive, well-trained staff. Modern, clean design with beautiful artwork and an inviting pool area, especially stunning at night. Spacious rooms (some with pyramid views) and great food options for all tastes.one of the best hotels in Egypt

Undeniably, the location is pretty incredible. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

However, a few things made our stay disappointing that I think anyone coming here should be made aware of.

1 – I booked online and the price they charged me at check in was almost $200 more than what was confirmed when I booked. Luckily, my email had the price confirmed so I showed it at reception. After some back and forth they charged the agreed fee. However, considering I was here two nights, I didn’t appreciate my first experience being the feeling that they were trying to trick me out of significantly more money.

2 – we had no hot water during our stay. The evenings got quite cold, so this was difficult. I flagged this at 5pm, and reception said they’d send maintenance to fix it. I came back from dinner at 9pm, and there was still no hot water (yes, I did run the water for 15 mins as reception originally suggested). I called reception immediately and they told me they’d call me right back. 11pm… still nothing. We took a cold shower and called reception to say it was still cold and we were disappointed. At this point, no apologies for not calling us back and instead they told us the boiler was checked and it was fine. Doesn’t solve the issue that we had no hot water during our entire stay, and this is a 5 star hotel supposedly. At check out, they didn’t care and offered no discount or anything (mind you, they still wanted tips).

3 – the general attitude of staff. We were excited to try the spa facilities, only to be told these won’t be available until next year (though are advertised on website). When the pool staff close the pool at 6pm, they kick you out 5 mins early and not in a nice way. The staff cleaning room were nice, but pushy about being given a good review online. There was also loud construction happening by the pool so it was not very relaxing to be sat 10m away from people drilling into concrete for hours.

In general, the location is indeed very good if you are here for the pyramids. But for the price, this hotel is not worth it. Clearly they get enough business due to the location that they don’t think they need to live up to the 5-star status they advertise. If I was coming back to Giza, I would absolutely stay somewhere else. I would not recommend the hotel to any friends either.
