It was acceptable Jerome it’s not the best. The location is good location I will rate it as a fine.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel located in the heart of Cairo, near Tahrir Square. The central location is ideal, and the rates are very affordable for the excellent accommodation provided.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional hospitality of the staff, owner, and manager. Kareem, in particular, was incredibly helpful and lovely, always going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. During our visit, a friend of mine accidentally left his bag containing a laptop and money at the reception. When he returned two hours later, the staff had kept it safe and handed it back without hesitation.
This level of honesty and care is rare, and it made our experience unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cairo.

The inside of this whole building is in terrible condition: dark, dirty, dusty, messy and littered with junk.
The staff was rude too. The owner/person at the reception desk, assuming we didn’t understand Arabic, started making comments as soon as we started walking towards the reception desk. Long story short, we had to leave because he wouldn’t allow my Egyptian friend stay with me in the same room, even though I reserved the room for two people.
We had just returned from a trip in another country so this situation messed up our plans.
There is definitely better in Cairo.

I had a very comfortable stay at the Sun Hotel Cairo.
I was welcomed warmly by staff with a glass of traditional Egyptian tea.
The rooms were generously spacious and comfortable.
The location was perfect with everything needed within short walking distance.
I would choose to stay here again.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel! I was trying to stay in my room because I was caught downtown during a massive protest in Tahrir Square. The hotel owner barged into my room and forcibly evicted me because Americans weren’t welcome in his hotel that night. I didn’t want any trouble, but I also didn’t want to pay for a hotel room that I couldn’t use, so I calmly asked for a refund and I would leave. That’s when he surrounded me with about six of his friends and told me to leave in five minutes. I happen to be a big ugly guy, so I left without getting raped. I’m not sure a foreign girl would have been so lucky. Enjoy your stay!
