They refused to give me a report on my condition or even my file because I was outside Cairo due to circumstances and needed to follow up with another doctor abroad for about two months. They didn’t care about my health or the condition I was in, and they don’t see the patient as someone who is sick and suffering; they see him as nothing more than a source of income for them.

This is exploitation. Following up with Dr. Bahaa Dweidar, he charges you 500 Egyptian pounds for the consultation and 750 pounds for changing the dressing (which is just a piece of plaster), totaling 1250 pounds for a plaster. The doctor keeps changing his mind about removing the stitches and the treatment. He tells you to stop the treatment, then when you go back, he asks why. He once said he’d remove the stitches one at a time, but when you said no, he’d remove them all at once, so he brings you back every time to change the plaster (which costs 750 pounds) plus the 500-pound consultation fee, just to make money off you. He tells you to change the dressing two or three times a day, then says no, how can you do that? You should only change it once a day. Honestly, neither he nor the doctor are comfortable, especially since his initial diagnosis was wrong.

There’s absolutely no respect for appointment times. Several times I’ve gone to the doctor’s office at 7 and he doesn’t show up at 8:30. It’s a complete farce, honestly.
