If you are looking for an Alexandrian seafood experience that prioritizes freshness over flash, Tarama is an absolute revelation. The food is very delicious, service is impeccable, lovely decoration and the whole atmosphere is just perfect.

In the years we have lived in Alex, this is the best seafood restaurant we have ever enjoyed so immensely 👍🏻 from the point of arrival till departure, it has been a wonderful experience .. we had a feast on every morsel, and glad of it as all was so tasty and fresh and flavorful – finally a restaurant we could relate to favourite dining places in other countries 💪 thank you Raphael, Mustafa & Mohamed … we are so happy Tarama is here! The modern and fine standards in decor, colors, service, attentiveness and the food! Oh my! The food is so divine – we were stuffed and will have to return for repeat experiences … thank you Tarama .. may yr quality dining experience be maintained and not falter in the near future .. you are a much-needed quench for a city limited in modern dining service 👍🏻 our bill was just over 2kle … for a feast that we could not help ordering and happy we did! Our compliments to yr Chef, bravo 🙌

A remarkable dining experience in the heart of historic Alexandria.
Tarama feels less like a restaurant and more like being welcomed into a proud Alexandrian home. Rafael, Hani, and the owner, Moustafa, offered exceptional hospitality from the moment I arrived.
Rafael showed me the day’s fresh catch—crab, shrimp, squid, and local fish—before seating me comfortably. Hani’s attentive service throughout the meal was warm, patient, and truly world-class.
I enjoyed a delicious shrimp bisque with fresh bread, beautifully presented brown rice, Egyptian-style fried barboon, shrimp with roe in a butter-lemon sauce, and a perfectly baked tilapia that Hani deboned with artisan-level care. Dessert was a refreshing mint-lemon drink I finished before I could even take a photo.
The food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding—an unforgettable blend of Mediterranean tradition and Alexandrian hospitality. Five stars. One of the best seafood meals I’ve had anywhere in the world.
