Cute little hotel, but there was not much nearby, room was okay. Location only good if you want to see pyramids and be near them. A very run down area full of poverty. Traffic is crazy, but not much else to do there, can’t really go for a walk in the evenings around there. Breakfast was average and staff very attentive at all times. They will offer excursions but they are expensive it’s worth walking down the road and speaking to the independent tour operators as there’s will be a fraction of the price. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times

We loved the stay here, clean rooms, well designed in all small aspects. The roof top restaurant with Giza pyramids beautiful view is very convenient option for dinner after a long tour day. The staff were ready to arrange everything you need, tours, taxis as you wished. Our guide Ahmed was great, very professional, knowledgeable and took us to places with great enthusiasm and took us to shops we would have not found ourselves. When we wanted a bigger car after first day, they immediately changed us to bigger and new car which was awesome. Overall great option if you are looking for reasonable costs, nice people and safe stay and want everything arranged for you for convenience, this is a great place!

The hotel staff were incredibly kind and welcoming throughout our stay. They were always ready to help and regularly checked in to make sure we didn’t need anything. In particular, Mohammed, Nadir, Ahmed, and Mahmood were extremely helpful with recommendations on great places to eat in Cairo and gave us valuable advice for visitng the city. Their support really made our stay feel safe, comfortable, and enjoyable.

I will give them 6 stars!!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Palace Pyramids Hotel and couldn’t recommend it more highly.

The hotel itself is spotless, very well run, and feels genuinely safe and comfortable. The facilities are great, but the real show-stopper is the rooftop. The view of the pyramids from up there is honestly unbelievable. Having breakfast each morning while looking straight out at them was a pinch-yourself moment, and coming back in the evenings after a long day of exploring to see them again at sunset was just magical.

The rooms were very comfortable and felt completely secure – we were happy leaving valuables behind while we were out for the day, which says a lot when travelling.

What really makes this place special, though, is the people. Every single member of staff was kind, genuine, and incredibly helpful – nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Nadia, in particular, went above and beyond. On our first day she even jumped in a tuk-tuk with me and my dad to help us get local Egyptian SIM cards, knowing we didn’t speak Arabic. That level of care really sets the tone for the whole place. She also helped us design an itinerary as soon as we arrived, making sure everything we wanted to see was covered, and had it all ready to go by the next morning.

We were also lucky enough to have Ahmed, the owner of the hotel, personally guide us around Cairo for two days. As a Cairo-born, highly experienced guide, he was exceptional. We were able to get into every museum and site we wanted, often without the usual waiting or time slots – a huge bonus. More than that, he’s a warm, welcoming person who was happy to answer questions, adjust plans on the fly, and tailor each day to how we were feeling.

The hotel also arranged a day trip to Alexandria for us, including a driver and a brilliant local guide who was an archaeologist and clearly passionate about the sites she showed us. Everything was seamless.

Breakfast each morning was a lovely spread, and sitting there with that view never got old.

We truly had a once-in-a-lifetime trip and are already planning to return later this year. I can’t recommend staying here strongly enough.

One final note: before coming to Egypt, we’d heard all the usual stories about scams and needing to be on guard. Our experience couldn’t have been further from that. Everyone we met was kind, welcoming, and genuinely wanted us to feel at home. The warmth and energy of the people here — and especially at this hotel – completely changed our perspective. Egypt is vibrant, generous, and a little chaotic in the best possible way, and this hotel and its staff are a perfect reflection of that.

We had an amazing stay at The Palace Pyramid. The hotel is very clean and hygienic, which we really appreciated. The highlight was definitely the stunning view of the pyramids right from the hotel!
The food was absolutely delicious—to be honest, it tasted even better than the meals we had in the city center 🙈. We also celebrated New Year’s here, and the event was hilarious and very well-organized. What truly made our stay special was the staff; they were incredibly friendly and constantly checked in on us to see how our day was going.

It’s definitely a must-stay if you’re visiting Old Cairo! The only minor downside is that there is no elevator, so be prepared for some stairs 😩. However, the view from the top makes it 100% worth the climb. But overall, a 10/10 experience!
