Great souvenir shop with a wide variety of gifts at fair prices. The owner was very friendly, welcoming, and made us feel the warmth of Egyptian hospitality.
The hand-painted papyrus artwork is beautiful, and I especially loved the glow-in-the-dark papyrus that reveals hidden details when the lights are off. I also had my son’s name written in hieroglyphics on a papyrus, which made it a unique keepsake.
A great place to buy souvenirs if you’re visiting Cairo. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful experience at the Thousand and One Nights Bazaar. The art is truly incredible—beautiful, detailed, and clearly made with care and passion. What really made the visit special, though, was the hospitality. We sat down, talked, and spent time together, and everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. It felt relaxed, personal, and genuinely fun, not rushed at all.
We ended up buying some amazing pieces that we absolutely love, and the whole experience felt meaningful rather than just transactional. If you appreciate great art and warm, authentic hospitality, this place is absolutely worth visiting. Highly recommended!
