🏨 Home Base in Giza: My Stay at Crowne Pyramids Palace Inn
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Crowne Pyramids Palace Inn in Giza (near Nameis Al Gazar, Zaghloul) and I wanted to share my highly positive experience, tempered with some constructive advice for future travelers.
THE ROOFTOP VIEW OF THE PYRAMIDS is AWESOME
    👍 The Best of Hospitality
The first thing that stood out about this establishment was the exceptional level of service. The staff is very friendly, incredibly helpful, and genuinely well-mannered. No request was too much trouble, and they consistently went out of their way to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.
A major benefit is their pricing transparency and fairness. I was pleased to find that they do not overcharge, which is a huge relief when traveling. The value for the experience, especially considering the proximity to the Pyramids and the welcoming nature of the staff, is outstanding.
    🛠️ Constructive Advice for Improvement
While the service and location were fantastic, there are a few physical improvements that would elevate the guest experience significantly:
Softer Mattresses: After long days of sightseeing, a softer mattress would be a welcome change to ensure a truly restful night’s sleep.
Accessible Wall Plugs: Having more conveniently placed and accessible wall plugs would be very helpful for charging multiple devices without having to hunt for an available outlet.
Water Issues: This is the most critical area for improvement and reflects a wider issue often found across Egypt:
Water Pressure: Increasing the water pressure in the shower would make for a much better bathing experience.
Bathroom Redesign: The current design of the bathrooms often results in water all over the floor after a shower due to inadequate drainage or lack of proper shower enclosures (a major inconvenience in Egypt!). A redesign to include better barriers or floor slopes is highly recommended.
Soap Holders: Adding proper, easily reachable holders for soap and toiletries in the shower area would be a simple but effective upgrade.
Overall, the Crowne Pyramids Palace Inn is a highly recommended choice, primarily thanks to the warmth and helpfulness of the team. If the physical comforts are addressed, particularly the common Egyptian bathroom challenge, it would be a perfect stay.

I would 100% recommend Crowne Pyramids Palace to anyone visiting Cairo. It’s more than a hotel—it’s an experience you’ll never forget. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing hotel, or home away home, because this is how you will feel: home! The room it’s absolutely stunning, with view to the pyramids, breakfast very complete, we tried the food and it was delicious as well, I highly recommend to book the tours directly to the hotel, we unfortunately did only a few with them, as we had previously booked some, but they were ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. Thank you for such an amazing experience! We will comeback, hopefully soon! Pd: you can watch TV with a millionaire view!

I had an absolutely amazing stay at Crowne Pyramids. The rooms were lovely and clean, with toiletries, tea/coffee & a fridge provided. The staff were really incredible, from the start I was told to think of them as family/friends and not to hesitate to say if I needed anything at all. It’s a family run hotel, and they’re doing really well having done everything themselves! Ahmed, who runs the hotel with his brother, actually invited me to their family home to experience Iftar with them as I was travelling solo and during Ramadan, and wanted to learn more about the culture & traditions. It was such a lovely evening, I met the family and we had the most wonderful meal and the opportunity to experience Ramadan in a family setting, rather than just as a tourist. The staff all really went above and beyond, recommending things for me to do, providing me with drivers/guides, great food & amazing company. I really was treated like family/a friend. I had many a conversations with most of the staff there and they took a genuine interest in my life, and told me about theirs in return. Also the most incredible views of the pyramids from the terrace & the rooftop.
